Indiana Charolais Royalty Contest

The Indiana Royalty program is supported by the Indiana Charolais association. This Contest was created to provide an avenue for young ladies to promote the Charolais Breed, Beef consumption and the beef industry as a whole. These young ladies will represent the Indiana Charolais Association, and the Jr. Charolais association.

Eligibility

*Indiana Charolais Queen : Ages 17-21

*Indiana Charolais Princess : Ages 13-16

*Indiana Charolais Jr. Princess : Ages 8-12

*Applicant must have been a Indiana Jr. Charolais member for at least 2 years ( with the exception of Jr. Princess )

*A current active (current) member of the Indiana Charolais Association

*Applicant may only apply for one Royalty Position

*Applicant must be involved with the Charolais breed

* Applicant must commit to attend the following events: Indiana Charolais Preview Show, Indiana State Fair 4-H & Open show, Hoosier Beef Congress & Annual Indiana Charolais Association meeting

Financial support is given from the Indiana Charolais association to assist the royalty in travel and wardrobe expense.

Contest

The Indiana Charolais Royalty will be selected and announced via phone call, Indiana Charolais webpage, Indiana Charolais Facebook page, and Indiana Jr Charolais Facebook page Applicant must complete Royalty application and the following based on the position you are applying for: All applicants will go before a panel of 3 Judges who will be making the royalty selection. (Exception of the year 2025, judges will be meeting for review of applications…. Not the members)

Indiana Charolais Queen (17-21)

* Create a video not exceeding 3 min. In length on the topic…How will I

promote the Charolais breed as the Indiana Charolais Queen and how

has the Charolais breed made an impacted in my life?

* The speech will be reviewed by the selection committee.

* Headshot

* 3 letters of recommendation

* GPA of at least 2.0 (transcript will be needed as proof)

Indiana Charolais Princess (13-16)

* Submit an essay (at least 300 words) to the royalty selection committee.

Question: If Selected as your State Charolais Princess what opportunities

will you have to promote the Charolais Breed outside the show ring?

* Headshot

* 2 Letters of recommendation

Indiana Jr. Princess (8-12)

* Present a flyer to the Royalty Selection committee that displays all

aspects her involvement with cattle.( care, Management, shows,

educational opportunities, promotion, etc.)

* Paragraph explaining your interest and or involvement in the Charolais

breed

Application Fee: $25.00 (Venmo or check) — Reply in your application

submission how you will be paying and an address or account will be

given to you in response.

Due @ time of application deadline

**** Contestants are required to follow the dress attire guidelines and code

of conduct as set by the Miss Charolais USA ****
